There are several challenges in this translation, but here we will only look at the most important one. Sometimes the essential lies in the detail. In this context, it is the word “now”. It is not included in the present or the last translation of the Bible by Jehovah’s Witnesses. The interesting thing here is that the little “now” – or lack of the same, reveals something about underemphasizing salvation as a current reality.
